Sound familiar?

01

Your tuner is lying

Most tuners use simple FFT algorithms. Inaccurate for low notes and overtone-rich instruments.

02

You can't see progress

Regular tuners don't save data. You never know if you're actually improving week-to-week or month-to-month.

03

No instrument transposition

Bb clarinet players see wrong notes. Your F horn looks impossible to tune. No transposition kills productivity.

KUON TUNER PRO solves everything.

YIN algorithm delivers ±1 cent accuracy. Transposition, three temperaments (equal / just / Pythagorean) and a sustained drone. The needle is median-filtered, steady, never jumpy.

6 Features

01

YIN Accuracy

It reads pitch with YIN, a method from academic research. Compared with reading spectral peaks directly, it mistakes the octave less often, and it displays down to one cent.

02

Transposition

Select your instrument (Bb/Eb/F/A) and notes automatically display in concert pitch. No mental math needed.

03

Three Temperaments

Equal, just intonation and Pythagorean, with a selectable tonic. Practise pure thirds for string quartets and choirs.

04

A Steady Needle

Median filtering and smooth tracking keep the needle readable. A real graduated meter shows ±50 cents precisely.

05

Drone Tone

Sustain any reference note in any octave. Train your ear, not just your eye. Ideal for long-tone practice on winds and strings.

06

Reference Pitch Control

Adjust from 415 Hz (Baroque) to 466 Hz (bright modern). Match your orchestra's pitch standard instantly.

Just 3 Steps

01

Select Instrument

Choose your instrument type. Transposition happens automatically.

02

Allow Microphone

Click "Allow" when the browser asks for microphone access. All processing happens locally, your data never leaves your device.

03

Play & Tune

See your pitch in real-time. Green zone (±2 cents) means you are in tune.

Who Is This For?

01

Orchestra Musicians

A=442Hz, perfect intonation required. YIN accuracy ensures compliance.

02

Wind Musicians

Bb/Eb transposition is daily reality. Automatic display solves confusion.

03

String Players

Just intonation is essential. Detect pure intervals with ±1 cent precision.

04

Music Exam Candidates

Track intonation improvement month-to-month. Build confidence before auditions.

Real Stories

01

Clarinet Student

"Finally understands why Bb clarinet sees different notes. Transposition solves 3 years of confusion."

02

Violin Student

"Uses just intonation mode in string quartet rehearsals. Pure thirds can be checked by both eye and ear."

03

Flute Student

"Plays long tones against the drone. Tunes by ear first, then checks with the needle, the right order."

Frequently asked questions

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free. No sign-up, no login. It works the moment you open it in a browser, and there are no ads.

Does it handle transposing instruments such as the B flat clarinet or E flat saxophone?

Yes. You can choose B flat (clarinet, soprano and tenor saxophone, trumpet), E flat (alto and baritone saxophone, E flat clarinet), F (horn, cor anglais) and the A clarinet. The note you read in the part is the note it shows.

Can I tune to 442 Hz?

Yes. The reference pitch moves from 415 to 466 Hz in steps of one hertz, so 442 and 443 Hz for wind bands and orchestras, and 415 Hz for early music, are all there.

Is the sound from my microphone sent anywhere?

No. All the processing happens inside your browser. The sound never leaves your device.

Can I tune in just intonation?

Yes. You can switch between equal temperament, just intonation and Pythagorean tuning. For the last two you also choose the tonic they are built on.

Does it help when two or more players tune together?

Yes. The ensemble screen counts the beats you hear when two or more players hold the same note. When the beating stops, you are in tune.
